CATCHING XMAS DINNER

Lobstering with neighbors for Xmas Eve feast was successful, catching only what we can eat, fresh from the sea!!!

"ANGEL ALERT" IN HOPETOWN

Angels were singing and dancing in Hopetown at The St. James Methodist Church with standing room only, Fantastic Job! Monies go to send Orphans to Summer Camp, what a wonderful gift to give this year!

This Cruise ship seen off of Tilloo Cut from my front porch, one of the benefits of the Abaco Chain is we are too shallow to accommodate these ships which keeps us sheltered from their impact. Pretty to watch cruise on by............

Gas Delivery Abaco Style

Gas is delivered to Marsh Harbour, then into tankers pulled by trucks onto barge, then via barge to outer Cays for delivery to marinas and gas stations. Makes the simple life we live a little more expensive and labor intensive, however, it's all good!

Island Hair Salon

Here in Abaco we have some of the best hair stylists around, "Snazzies" is one of the best and Laura totally rocks!!! You can make an appointment on your next visit and have an Island Style doo!!!!!!!!!

DINNER @ 7PM, YUMMY!!!!

Opening Day lobster Season was a gorgeous day, you could go in the calm Ocean and no crowds, in fact there was just one other boat far off, we love Abaco for that reason. This was all we needed for our guests coming to dinner tonight! Life is Good!

These are West Indian Woodpeckers found in a dead tree stump about 6 ft. high off the ground, the Mom was nearby trying to divert me, think there may be only two babies, they are loud, carrah.....carrah.....carrah..........should be flying soon!

Peacock On A Hot Tin Roof

This Peacock ,who lives on Lubbers Quarters, has found his way to my roof. He has lived here on this Island for awhile now and use to look at himself in a full length mirror, I believe the mirror may have broken and he is no longer the fairest of them all!!!

Regatta Time In Abaco

Fun was had by all at the Hopetown Harbour Lodge Friday night. The sailors celebrated with free Bacardi Rum drinks and another wonderful Abaco event was enjoyed by all.
